Tigre has some good blood in her pedigree, some such names as Blacklord Arabi and Ferzon. In 2006 she produced a wonderful large black colt (WW Quicksilver Bey) for us. Quicksilver was sold to Fred in MO. who is going to use him as a stallion once he is old enough. Tigre is not broke to ride as she was purchased to use as a brood mare. I think she would make a good western pleasure horse and would not be real hard to get going under saddle. She is extremely sweet, I can go out into the pasture to pet or groom her and she will put her forehead to my chest for me to just hold her head and love on her. I bred Tigre to Hertog Jan v.d. Paddensteeg (Brandus 345 x Natasja E.) of the 4 13 Ranch in Shady Point, OK in 2009, I was not fortunate in getting her to stick. This spring I plan on starting her under saddle, and if she happens to still be around in 2011 I will be breeding her back to Hertog Jan v.d. Paddensteeg, in hopes of getting that 1/2 Arab 1/2 Friesian cross that I would like to get out of her. UPDATE!! I saddled Tigre for the first time and she took it all in stride like she had done it a million times before. She has temporaily been taken off the market as I am going to continue working with her to get her going under saddle before placing her back on the market. Below are some new photos of her, they are of her first time being saddled. |
